Let me ask the question I don't understand; sort of but not really, about 'boomers.' I'm at the end of that generation yet have more in common with x'ers. But I don't fully get the vitriol. Yes, many were drug-addicted hippies that became the most materialistic power-hungry shrews in human history. Others 'who die with the most toys wins' and invented disco, gold chains and ostentatious 'you can have it ALL' workaholic ethos.

But many others were not enabling parents, worked their buts off to give their kids a better life and the tools to move up a notch, got people into fitness, and didn't trash talk and lie to everybody routinely etc.

So good and bad.

The people I hung around with were solid guys, responsible, honest, and at least a few (me included) always had a sense of history including knowing a thing or two about Their People, at least broadly, and taught their kids to have respect for the unknown and likely scared ancestors who came across the ocean puking on a rolling boat, looking to make a life for themselves, and eventually for me and mine.

Confessing ignorance, because it's perception I read all the time, but it's used as such a blanket catch all that 'boomers' f'ed everything up. Just like some proclaim millennials and others lazy cowards, yet many of them fought the wars and some are actually reclaiming cultural traditions.

Solid thoughts. I'm an older Xer, '67.

It's not about a generation in whole, but in those a generation allows to rise into power, and about the fights those in power take up and press upon all. In this is a generation - a period - defined. Kids are being genitally and chemically mutilated, the largest revenue pot for the federal government being the $2 trillion of student loans for useless degrees, a twenty-five year War on Terror that's killed as many as 11 million for nothing but to bring the threat into our own countries....

As to Millennials, should the pattern hold, they'll be the new Greatest Generation, and my Xers are going to have to lead them.

Absolutely brilliant prose EM. Love it. Am a late model Xer at 49. It seems the Millennials behave like Boomers to some regard while Z is more in line with GenX. It’s something that has crossed my mind but haven’t put too much thought in the matter.

In the end we still have to love these people. My parents are two of the greatest souls to ever haunt this earth. Even tho I used to get the fuck beat out of me on a daily basis (mom) I have a great relationship with them. Dad only gave me 2 beatings, but both were legendary. I absolutely deserved it though. Have always had a tendency for getting into trouble.

So now I’m headed to the store to get some booze and drink to my folks. And I will be listening to your playlist. 😉

I’m a 66 yo Boomer. I never took to stereotyping. I see more Responsibles and Resentfuls which cuts across generations. Now that I clearly see the playing field I’m grateful for accurately seeing reality. I pity the prior generations going back to my great grandparents because they were unknowingly trapped in the matrix. Probably the generation that came out of the Civil War were the last to see the European central banking influence. And they probably didn’t know it stemmed from the Venetian merchants starting in the 1500s. We were good ol’ Catholic stock being spoon fed by the Vatican with the corporal punishment from the nuns.

It is very true our ancestors have not seen the truth for centuries. It was the very same before the printing press. It too provided for the piercing of the Eternal War Reality Warping.

I believe the Internet and the worldwide Covid lockdown provided a means and the time for people to explore and begin to realize the global Financial Kill Chain implemented since WWII. The Responsibles are awake and restless to right this wrong. They won’t unsee what they now see.

Love it! Born in the middle of this generation - 1955. History will tell the full tale of what industrialized education and propaganda, fear of nuclear annihilation, assassinations, culture-wide demoralization, nightly coverage of the Vietnam conflict, pornography, drugs (illicit & prescriptive), civil & women's rights protests, abortion, no fault divorce, digital advances, debt economy and crippling taxes imposed at the beginning of our working lives has wrought on my generation and those that succeed us. I am only responsible for MY wins and losses. My soul. Have mercy on and pity for my friends and peers who can't turn off Fox or CNN.

First, I appreciate that I can ask a legitimate question on this forum and get legitimate answers; we all know it's not always l like that on many, many comment sections.

Second, have to think information warfare is at work at least some of the time in dividing 'boomers' from everybody else, rather than working to unite the generations. Just one other way to separate the young from their roots, meaning their choices are: consumerism and the Latest Thing; or academia and the Latest Thing....etc. etc.

Last, if there was any doubt that LSD causes irreparable damage, I submit to you the aging Democrat Party. The prosecution rests.

One doesn't concern themselves with logical fallacy riddled attacks which utterly fail to engage with the concepts and rather go after the individual.

I've told you this before and I'll tell you again: NONE of our generations would have done anything differently if we were faced with the same circumstances as the boomers. You, I and no one else would have changed anything. Meanwhile, our generations have become more faggoty and mentally sick with these sick "gender" delusions of trannies and men having babies and Marxist minded. Boomers overall sure weren't nearly as sick in the head as subsequent generations. But sure, blame that on the Boomers too, crybaby. 😭

Or a Vietnam Vet, disgusted with the War, and the Society he returned to. All the Same Generation 18+ being Ordered around by the Feral Grubmint like cattle by the Greatest Generation.

Walk a mile in someone's boots before you get so Self Righteous. btw, get off your ass 2025 is 1775.

Your words spoke for themselves. I'm a Boomer from Libtard in the 70's to Conservative in the 80's and a "Deplorable" in the 90's.

The Past is Dead however, and What We Do or Fail to Do, Now is the Question, and in a War, "Friends" are nice to have.

I knew your background writings, and agreed until this rant. I suppose You knew mine?
