My favorite translation uses “I trow I hung on that windy tree…”, and I think we should bring “trow” back. Such a strong word for something modern English is missing.

But I digress…

"The paradox at the heart of the claim is that the highest form of fidelity is the sovereign act of remaining unbowed while still choosing the side of order, virtue, and reality against entropy and the War. This is not obedience in the sense of a soldier following orders; it is the allegiance of a free prince to a high king whose cause he has made his own."

My baptism at 52 was exactly that; in Jesus name and not some Roman Trinity formula; because I sought Him and His Father of my own will; because my sins were none of the religionists business but business between me and The Father I had sinned against. The Pharisees had Christ killed because He was a threat to their religion model. In so doing they brought in the sacrifice to end all sacrifices and there was nothing they could do about it. Constantine created the politicised church. Christ is king!
