Yep. Most folks that I have “known” who are “like you” tend to get 4-5 hours sleep a night. I call that “driven, even during sleep”! Your writing success shows the power of ideas that connect with the moral universe.

I wake up with the need to write a thing out. Generally go to bed thinking about it. Then have to get up and write it first thing in the morning.

Many spiritual traditions (including Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy) suggest a nightly review of the day (backwards from end of day to morning) as a way to prepare for “night school”. Taking an idea into sleep to deepen it is part of this.

Middle class life for most is the struggle of attempting to live virtuously in an age of increasingly palpable despair. Unfortunately, it's going to get tougher before it gets better. Best embrace it now and not get caught seriously unprepared. Those that understand already have but far too many have yet to.
